DID numbers
DID numbers are real phone numbers that have been detached from their physical phone line and are directly mapped to a certain endpoint.
DID stands for Direct-Inward-Dial and is mainly used in the US. In other countries the term DDI (for Direct Dial In) is mostly used.
These phone numbers can be called from any phone, including mobile phones and payphones. So whether you are a local, national, or global business, you can use your DID numbers on business cards, advertisements, on websites, or on any other promotional material.
With DID numbers, users can roam - and still answer the phone.
Just as traditional phone users can forward incoming calls to any destination, users with a virtual number can also forward incoming calls to any phone - such as a mobile phone, a remote office or a vacation destination (using a Voxbone partner or reseller).
